The Wellington West Quartet is named in honour of the Record Centre where the group had their first show at the 1099 Wellington St. West location in the Hintonburg Area..

The quartet explores playing jazz standards and originals without a chordal instrument  to form a creative group experience.  
The repertoire includes music by Wayne Shorter, Freddie Hubbard, Gerry Mulligan and originals by Vince Rimbach.

In 2001, jazz saxophonist Vince Rimbach released his CD entitled Just One More Thing To Say. The CD received highly favourable reviews. Originally from New Jersey, Vince Rimbach attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied composition, arranging and performance.

Vince studied composition with Herb Pomeroy and his saxophone teachers have included Bill Evans(saxophone), Steve Grossman, Joe Viola, George Garzone and Jerry Bergonzi.
Televison, stage, recording and performing credits include: The Temptations, Tomson Highway, Paticia Cano, Clark Terry, Bill Watrous, The Artie Shaw Band, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruise Lines, CJOH-TV, The National Arts Centre of Ottawa, Deux Saisons, CBC Radio, CHEO Telethon, Los Gringos, Ottawa International Jazz Festival, John Geggie, Mike Rudd, The Bill Jupp Big Band, Don Gibbons Quartet, Nothing Personal, Carol Channing, Sid Ceasar, Jerry Van Dyke, Michel Taillefer and Eastern Standard Time, The Superband, The Vince Rimbach Quartet and The Cosmos Sax Quartet.
Vince also shared hosting duties on “Swing is in the Air”, a weekly jazz radio show on CKCU 93.1FM in Ottawa.

Ed Lister is a seasoned trumpet player, composer and arranger based in Ottawa, Canada. Ed’s career started in London, England when he was 15 and has since served him well across the globe. His playing experience ranges from session & studio work, cruise ships, festivals, national and international music competitions. Ed founded London Gentleman Records in May 2015 and currently runs several successful bands in and around the Ottawa area. Ed can also be found in numerous other groups including the Atlantis Jazz Ensemble, The Chocolate Hot Pockets, The Hornettes, BlakDenim and is an affiliate of the Souljazz Orchestra. 



Alex Bilodeau - BassAlex Bilodeau– Bass - Alex Bilodeau Bandcamp

Alex Bilodeau is a graduate of McGill University. He is originally from Ottawa and has become popular on the Ottawa jazz scene over the past few years. He currently looks after the Monday night jazz at Le Petit Chicago. He has also appeared at the Ottawa Jazz Festival and many other venues around Ottawa. Playing with some of the best players in town.






Mike Essoudry - DrumsMike Essoudry – Drums

Mike Essoudry is an active musician in the Ottawa region who is involved in many projects. He is the leader and composer for his brassband group the Mash Potato Mashers which has released 2 CD’s and has toured Nationally with the assistance of the Canada Council. He also leads and composes for the Mike Essoudry Octet which released “Passage” also funded by the Canada Council and is a valuable drummer in many projects ranging in Style from Jazz and Improvised Music to film scores to folk and rock groups throughout the Ottawa region. He has recorded with the Craig Pedesen Quartet, the Megan Jerome Trio, the Back-Talk Organ Trio and the Swampward Orchestra. Mike also maintains an active teaching roster as well as being the accompanist for the mixed ability Dance Company Propeller.
